Ashburton first team entertained Dartington and Totnes who won the toss and elected to bat first.

Robin Lambert (2 for 2) polished off the stragglers as Darts were all out for 95 with 8.2 overs of their 45 overs remaining.

The Ashburton reply got off to the worst possible start as Lloyd White pulled his first ball straight into square legs hands. Kevin Nicholls and Ashley Berry (19) added 37 to steady the ship and then Dan Coles (14) and Nicholls added a further 42 to take Ashburton to the brink of victory.

It was then left to Nicholls to hit the final winning boundary to take him to an excellent unbeaten 50. During the course of the innings he also passed the landmark of 5,000 first team league runs for the club.
