THANK YOU TO OUR 2023 SPONSORS!

A fantastic season of cricket in Ashburton finished in September, with our First XI securing the points needed to stay in C Division West and avoid relegation in their final game. Our Second XI had a successful season, finishing mid-table in F Division West, with several youngsters stepping up and playing first team cricket when called upon and all making valuable contributions. Our Sunday side won the South Devon League, retaining our 2021 title, and the Dartanians had another enjoyable season too, playing a mix of friendlies and competing in a new South Devon 20/20 mid-week league.

The performance of the season firmly belonged to club legend Marcus West, who smashed record after record on way to scoring 854 Second XI runs at an eye-watering average of 94.89. Marcus also oversees our youth set up, which caters for more than 50 youngsters from 5 to 15. The future of the club continues to look very bright.

Thank you so much to all of our 2022 sponsors – without your generosity we could simply not provide the quality coaching for our youngsters or maintain the standard of our ground, facilities and equipment. Thank you to:

Over the winter we will be doing various jobs at our ground to prepare for our 2023 season such as painting and hedge-trimming. Anyone with any spare time who would like to volunteer to help us out would be very welcome (please drop me a message). Ashburton Cricket Club is an important part of the community and can only function with community support.

Pre-season nets will begin next February – we cater for every age and ability so if you’d like to get involved please to get in touch.
