Week 1 Match Reports

Unfortunately the weather put paid to both of the Ashburton side's opening Devon League encounters.

However they did manage to get a South Devon League match in on the Sunday away to Cullompton.

After being asked to bat , Ashburton racked up an imposing 251 for 2 in their 35 overs. Brad Causey (53), Steve Edmonds (43) and Jonathan Malan (51) all scored runs before retiring and Ryan May was unbeaten on 45 at the end. Zahman Khan and Jack Grandfield were the Cullompton wicket takers.

Cullompton replied with 175 for 7 in their 35 overs thanks mainly to Adam Friend (51 retired) and Grandfield (43). Rob Lambert, Nat Wood, AJ West, Malan, Causey and May all took wickets.
