Ashburton first team entertained table topping Bovey Tracey 2nds.

After losing the toss and being asked to field Dom Durman (2 for 56) and Akif Sohail (1 for 27) both bowled tidy opening spells as Bovey struggled to score freely and dipped to 35 for 2. George Yabsley (54) and Derek Perry (52) rebuilt with a steady partnership of 99 before both departed in quick succession. They had however set the platform for some lower order hitting and Tom Andrew (48 from 31 balls) and Daniel Green (33 from 18 balls) delivered in the closing overs as Bovey reached an imposing 238 for 7 from their 45 overs. George Marshall (2 for 73) picked up late wickets during the onslaught.

The Ashburton reply also started slowly with an opening partnership of 36 between Jake Pascoe and Lloyd White (21). Ashes then lost four quick wickets to Oliver Clifford-Bourne (2 for 15) and Derek Perry (2 for 41) before Martin Causey (39) and James Rush (24) took the score to 106 for 4. When they both departed the rest came quietly to Taylor Ingham-Hill (4 for 34) and Jerry Christophers (2 for 10) as Ashes were all out for 131 in the 37th over.

Ashburton 2nd team travelled to Chudleigh 2nds and were unfortunate to run into a side containing several of their first team.

Ashes batted first and reached 185 for 9 in their 40 overs with Tony Lacey (40), Greg Robinson (30) and Dean Topping (28) the main run getters assisted by a whopping 68 extras.

Robinson (2 for 33) led the bowling efforts and there were wickets for youngsters Ashton West and Toby Pascoe but Chudleigh reached the target with 4 wickets in hand and 3.1 overs to spare.
